A few weeks ago, we introduced the new MediOffice home screen, an update that has received an excellent response from our users.
Its main purpose was to reorganize the patient care workflow and give doctors a clear view of what is happening throughout the day. From this screen, they can see upcoming appointments, review recent activity, and quickly access the different modules in the system.
Patients can also move naturally through each stage of care: from a scheduled appointment to the waiting list, the completed consultation, and subsequent billing.
All patient modules, now on one screen
The most important change in this new version is the integration of MediOffice’s different modules.
Previously, many functions opened in separate windows. Doctors had to enter a module, complete an activity, close the window, and return to the medical record to continue working. Now, everything is part of one experience.
From the patient screen, doctors can directly access:
- Patient profile.
- Medical notes.
- Diagnoses.
- Prescriptions.
- Documents.
- Images.
- Laboratory results.
- Appointments.
- Billing.
This integration reduces the number of clicks required and lets doctors focus on clinical care without constantly navigating between different windows.
At the bottom of the patient profile, additional panels change automatically according to the patient’s characteristics. For example, the system can display specific information for adult, pediatric, female, or male patients.
This allows doctors to record relevant supplementary data for each consultation without filling the screen with information that does not apply to the selected patient.
Fully integrated medical notes
The medical notes module keeps its familiar layout while becoming part of the same integrated patient workspace.
Diagnoses without pop-up windows
Diagnosis management is now fully integrated as well. Doctors can review a patient’s diagnosis history and add new diagnoses using the ICD-10 classification without opening another window over the medical record.
A renewed prescription and medication experience
The prescription module received a complete redesign. In one view, doctors can review the prescriptions a patient has received, search for medications, prepare a new prescription, and preview the document that will be delivered.
Integrated laboratories and a new chart view
Laboratory results are also part of the integrated medical record. Doctors can review individual studies, compare results across different dates, and use a new chart view to analyze how results evolve over time.
Documents with immediate preview
The documents module has been modernized both visually and functionally. One of its most important improvements is the new preview engine. Previously, some documents could take several seconds to render. In this version, the preview appears almost immediately.
This optimization lets doctors review documents faster and save time during a consultation.
Users can still edit documents in Microsoft Word and can also use MediOffice artificial intelligence tools, identified in purple, to generate customized documents from the patient’s clinical information.
Clinical images in the same environment
The images module has also been renewed and integrated. Doctors can now review a patient’s stored images alongside the list of available studies. They can view ultrasound images, X-rays, clinical photographs, and other image and video files, and add tracings or drawings when explaining them to patients.
Appointments connected to the patient record
The appointment calendar is now part of the patient’s clinical workflow. From this section, users can review past appointments, see the current appointment, and schedule new visits without leaving the medical record. This keeps planning, medical care, and subsequent follow-up connected.
Billing integrated into the care process
Billing has also been incorporated into the patient screen. Doctors or administrative staff can review previous invoices, check their status, and create a new invoice directly from the medical record.
This integration allows a consultation to move continuously from medical care to payment recording without switching modules.
A faster, simpler, and more connected experience
With this new version, MediOffice continues moving toward a more integrated work experience.
Our goal is not only to modernize the application’s appearance, but also to improve how doctors interact with their patients’ information. By bringing the main clinical and administrative functions together on one screen, we reduce unnecessary steps and make the workflow feel more natural.
This update represents an important change in the MediOffice user experience and establishes the foundation for the improvements we will continue to introduce.
