The entire medical record, now also in a single PDF
An electronic medical record can hold years of information: consultations, diagnoses, treatments, prescriptions, documents, images, laboratory results, and many other elements that are part of patient care.
All of that information must stay organized within the system, but there are times when it also needs to be brought together in a single document.
For example, when a patient requests a copy of their record, when the information needs to be reviewed outside the system, when documentation must be prepared for another professional, or simply when the doctor wants to keep a copy in a universal format.
That is why we have added a new feature to MediOffice for exporting a patient’s complete medical record to PDF.
One button, right from the patient profile
The new feature is built directly into the patient’s main screen and is identified by the new red button 
in the top right corner.
Selecting it opens the Export medical record module, where you can prepare the document before generating it.
There is no need to navigate through different modules or prepare the information manually.
The record is already organized in MediOffice. Now it can also be turned into a structured document from the same place.
You decide what goes into the PDF
Not every document needs to contain the entire medical record.
In some situations, you may need to provide the complete record. In others, perhaps only certain consultations, a few laboratory results, or a specific set of documents.
That is why the export does not simply work as a “print everything” button.
The module lets you configure the content of the PDF dynamically.
From the PDF content panel, you can select sections such as:
- Patient profile.
- Medical notes.
- Diagnoses.
- Prescriptions.
- Documents.
- Images.
- Laboratory requests.
- Laboratory results.
- Appointments.
You can also use Select all to quickly prepare the complete record, or Clear to start a new selection from scratch.
As you change your selection, the preview shows how the document will be organized.
You can even select individual items
MediOffice lets you open each category and choose individual items.
For example, within Medical notes, you can choose exactly which consultations or progress notes to include.
The same applies to prescriptions, documents, images, and other parts of the record.
A doctor could generate:
- The complete medical record.
- Only the consultations from a specific period.
- A selection of relevant medical notes.
- Specific studies and images.
- Some laboratory results.
- Specific documents requested by the patient.
- A custom combination of different sections.
Medical notes presented clearly and in order
Medical notes are one of the central parts of any medical record.
In the PDF, each consultation shows its date, the responsible professional, and its clinical content, keeping the information organized and easy to review.
Diagnoses and prescriptions in the same record
Diagnoses recorded during care can also be part of the export.
MediOffice presents the diagnosis history with the date, ICD-10 code, and description, making it easy to quickly review the patient’s clinical course.
Prescriptions are grouped chronologically, with the medications prescribed on each date.
Clinical images can also be part of the PDF
X-rays, ultrasounds, clinical photographs, and other imaging studies can provide essential information for understanding how a patient’s condition has evolved.
That is why images stored in MediOffice can also be added directly to the exported record.
Each image can appear alongside its description, date, and related clinical notes.
And, just as with medical notes, the doctor can select only the images they want to include.
Laboratory requests and results
This brings together in one document both the clinical information recorded by the doctor and the complementary studies used during the patient’s follow-up.
A document designed to be read
Generating a PDF was only part of the goal.
We also wanted the result to look professional.
The document uses a modern, clean, minimalist design, with a consistent structure across all of its pages.
Headers identify the practice and the patient, while each section uses a clear visual hierarchy to separate medical notes, diagnoses, prescriptions, documents, images, and laboratories.
The clinical information remains the focus, without unnecessary visual elements and without turning the record into a collection of screenshots.
The result is a document prepared specifically to be consulted as a medical record.
Preview before generating the file
The module includes a preview of the document while you configure the export.
This lets you check the content before creating the final file and adjust the selection when needed.
Once it is ready, the document can be saved as a PDF, printed, or sent directly from the module.
This way, the entire process happens on a single screen: select, review, and generate.
What if you need to export all of your medical records?
Exporting a single record from the patient profile meets an important need, but there is a completely different situation: needing a copy of every medical record stored in MediOffice.
For that, MediOffice also includes a general export module.
From the MediOffice side menu, under Backup, you can export all of your medical records to PDF in a single operation.
MediOffice generates the documents and gathers them into an encrypted ZIP file, keeping the export organized and adding an extra layer of protection to the information.
